Juli Baker and Summer was born and grew up in Bangkok, Thailand. A proactive artist with a strong focus of the bright palette of Thai culture, Juli Baker and summer further her studies in fashion School, and travelled the world upon her graduation. Her fashion degree motivates her with a keen eye for details and colours, enriching her artistic expression through her art pieces. Through her inspiration from music, literature, films, and conversations through her daily life and foreign travels, Juli references her findings and ideas into her semi-abstract graphics, from tropical plants to perpetual sunshine, all echoing her cheerful spirit in the abundance of bright colour palette. A proactive name in the Thai art scene, Juli Baker and Summer also expresses her  gender equality issues and social events through her art work. Juli facilities her creative process with a lead-in with her mind, as she explores inwardly for message, philosophy and beliefs she aims to express through her art, namely her drawings of women reflect on her own existence in the patriarchal society, one she continues to find footing with other women validating their footing in the male-dominating world.

In her collaboration with AURUM on the Awakening Project, Juli Baker and Summer is keen to connect people with their own inner-self, sparking an internal dialogue with oneself to further express themselves through art. The collaboration is Juli’s Hong Kong debut, and an excellent opportunity to introduce her art and creative process to a new demographic interested in exploring art in different ways.
