Enlightenment means the ability to understand the duality of emotions, and to focus on the emotion that’s uplifting. Knowing the self is enlightening. It’s bringing about harmony between mind, body and soul.

This painting is a Buddhist symbol “Unalome” a representation of reaching Enlightenment.The path starts in the center of the spiral- the beginning of spiritual awakening. The loops are the journey of emotions ( the 12 emotional symbols i created) becoming conscious of dualities. The straight line symbolizes understanding and becoming centered . The dots symbolize reaching one’s goal of freedom and enlightenment.
